Situated at an elevation of 1,650 meter Gangatok is home of two most scenic and highest mountain lakes in the world – Tsomgo Lake and Gurudongmar Lake. Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh
Situated at an altitude of 3500 meters above sea level, Tawang is the home of mesmerizing Tawang chu River and Tawang valley.
There are many beautiful glacial lakes in and around Tawang with crystal blue waters such as Sela Lake, P.T.Tso Lake, Sangetsar Lake, Banggachang Lake and many more. These remain frozen in winter while in summer they become haven for migratory birds.
The capital of Meghalaya Shillong is the only hill station in the country that is accessible from all sides. The Charming landscapes of this hill station gave it fame as ‘Scotland of the east’. Elephant caves, Mawjymbuin Caves and Laitlum canyons are some of the most loved spots in Shillong.
As the place has enormous scope for trekking and camping it is one of the hot favorite destinations among adventure seekers. Tribal village Khonoma, Jafpu peak – eye- catching site nestled at a height of around 3048 metres above sea level, War Cemetery – significant landmark dedicated to as many as 10,000 brave soldiers of the 2nd British Division of Allied Forces who gave up their lives in World War II at Kohima during the year 1944 are some of the exciting places here.
